As a Technical Combat Designer, you will help expand gameplay systems and core player abilities, by being hands on with direct implementation and help define how they fit into the game.
Work directly with the Combat and Systems Design to help define and create gameplay systems.
Prototype, polish and balance: Player abilities, combat actions and progression items.
Give crisp feedback to quickly iterate on concepts with a multidisciplinary team.
Contribute to the overall game design. We’re a collaborative group, and we expect every member of the team to have an impact on the overall player experience.
Must have played previous Sucker Punch titles and have an understanding of core gameplay systems.
Demonstrated ability to prototype and iterate quickly.
2+ years of game design experience.
Solid programming or similar experience.
Contemporary knowledge of modern combat design.
Must be a clear communicator, and juggler of the contributions from different disciplines.
Must be eligible to work in the US and willing to relocate to Seattle.
Proficiency in Maya or other 3D modeling and animation package.
Experience working on gameplay or combat in a 3rd person action game.
